Sociology provides a social science education that enhances critical thinking and communication skills, providing the global perspective needed to navigate life and work in the 21st century. Sociologists conduct research on a wide range of issues, from social inequality to the way humans interact with the environment, from deviance and crime to sports, from health to the family. The results of sociological research not only contribute to public debate but also inform social policy and legislation.
