The B.A. in Humanities is uncomplicated in its structure, allowing you great flexibility in coursework. Fine Arts can be used as a concentration in the Humanities degree, which will show on your diploma and transcript. The degree requires eight courses in Fine Arts, plus five courses in a secondary discipline, for a total of 39 credits. See the Humanities/Fine Arts planning guide (PDF) for specific requirements, or schedule an appointment with your advisor.
Students from any major may take Fine Arts courses as electives. These courses can compliment your area of study, and also provide a richer undergraduate experience. We ask our students to take risks and embrace open-ended inquiry, leading to a deeper understanding of the world.
Courses offered at the Vancouver Fine Arts studios include: drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, 2D design, 3D design, and a variety of art history courses.
