Write-on-Site

Are you a WSU Vancouver graduate student in the writing stages of your research? Join us! Thesis and dissertation writing can be a lonely process. Let’s come together and support each other.

When: Mondays, 3 to 5 p.m.

Where: Multimedia Classroom Building, Room 1

Format: The first 30 minutes will be spent writing. Whether it is a brainstorming session, building an outline, or writing a section of a chapter, the goal is to sit in the chair and put your fingers on the keyboard. We will take a 10-mintue stretch break. After that, we will have another 30-minute writing block. We will use the last 20 minutes to debrief, socialize, and eat snacks.

Please note: This is not a critique group. We will not be reading each other’s work. All disciplines are welcome. If you are writing your thesis or dissertation, this is a great place for you.

See this article for more information on the importance of writing groups.
